NATIONAL MARITIME SECURITY FORUM WILL BE Held ON 24 JANUARY 2019, WARSAW NOVOTEL HOTEL AIRPORT 1 SIERPNIA 1 STREET

The National Maritime Security Forum is a unique event for Poland. It is hosted by two organizations that have been involved with maritime sector issues for years: the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia, a source of staff for the Polish Navy, and Zarząd Targów Warszawskich, organizer of Poland’s biggest event for the maritime sector, i.e. the BALTEXPO International Maritime Exhibition. Thanks to its transparent formula, careful choice of speakers from Poland and abroad, and care is taken to ensure a quality, merit-based debate, the forum enjoys a permanent place on the calendars of people dealing with maritime security issues, and today is considered a central element of the debate on the future of the Polish Navy. The forum’s core programme is designed in consultation with all institutions that have an impact on the direction and dynamic of development of the Polish Navy and maritime industries supporting its capabilities.

Subject Matter:  The Polish Navy and industry in the face of new challenges: new technologies, capability priorities, needs and possibility of implementation; best practice, solutions and forecasts related to maritime operations in confined and shallow waters; the maritime dimension of critical infrastructure: ports, waterways and energy infrastructure in the face of present and future challenges; the Baltic maritime security area – challenges for the present and future; optimization of research and development, production, maintenance and supply processes for Polish and allied naval forces through cooperation of industrial and academic centres as well as past users of military equipment; the potential, needs and solutions for coastal infrastructure connected with the defence potential and economic security of NATO member states in Central and Eastern Europe.
